Savage Garden's singer goes solo!

Savage Garden's singer Darren Hayes plans to begin a solo album in February and will be recording some in the UK.
In an interview with worldpop Hayes said, 'There's definitely a solo album from me on the way, I've got tons of stuff. It's looking like it will be more dancey, more electronica than Savage Garden. And I think Daniel will go into movie scores cos his melodies are very filmic and elaborate.'
According to the group's manager Larry Tollin, Hayes has also been working on a film screenplay he hopes to have produced. Shouldn't be too difficult as Hayes counts legendary directors George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola among his close friends

Savage Garden are likely to regroup in late 2001 or early 2002 to record their third album and the follow-up to last year's Affirmation, which has now sold seven million records worldwide.

Hold Me was at number 17 midweek, but apparently has now moved up to number 13.
Listen to Radio One this Sunday to see where they end up.

The song "Sad Eyes" was played last night over the closing credits on "Dawson's Creek." It fit the plot perfectly, and it was great to hear a favorite song unexpectedly.

Hold Me is currently residing at number 16 on the UK charts.
This isn't too good-espically seeing as their being beaten by the Tweenies!

Be sure to let me know what you hear and I'll add it to this page!
